America is it the great rip off by the tour operators or are you getting a good deal. There are lots of deals looking through the brochures to Orlando and some even give you a FREE car hire. So what are you getting for your money, you have a return flight on a charter airline with very limited seat space unless you pay for better seating and you may even have to pay for a window seat and extra for your meals and you get a 2* rated room for your 7 night stay for £2,264. You may even get a Free hire car which will cost you an average £27 a day to insure then you have to pay all the local taxes. So is there a better way ? Yes there is four good seats on a scheduled airline with good meals and seat back TV's with movies and children's entertainment will cost between £976 and £1,190 depending on the airline and the day of the week you fly from 1st November this is even cheaper. A good hotel on the International Drive, Orlando 3* will cost around £39 a night per room with 2 double beds a colour TV with Free films and often Nintendo games and Tea/Coffee maker and Microwave and Fridge. A good family car will cost around £155 for 7 days. So what have you spent. Air Tickets £1,190 .... Hotel £273 .... Car Hire £155 = £1618 a saving of £835. Plus you will get tickets for all the parks cheaper from the hotel.
