Travel booking
flights and you.
Booking
a long-haul flight can be a nightmare with thousands of cheap flights on
offer, it's even more difficult to find a
flight at the advertised price the cheap tickets having already been sold,
you can spend hours online browsing without any real success at the end of
it all, you know you've been there.
We searched the Internet and brought together here the best for
consistent cheap flights and good back up service.
Ways
to Save on Your Next Flight
From
weekday flights to midnight bookings, tips to help you cut your traveling
costs.
1.
book flights online midweek, late at night.
Most
airlines post fare changes just after midnight, be online after hours if
looking for cheaper fares. (On the other hand, most deals expire at
midnight, if you see a fare that is reasonable, don't hesitate
book it or you may lose it.)
2.
Fly on a Tuesday or a Thursday.
Two
days that see the fewest passengers, and in many cases you'll find the
lowest fares.
3.
Fly on a holiday.
The
most expensive fares are on the days and weekends either side of
major holidays and when children break up for school the least expensive
can be on the holiday itself.
We found these to be reasonable on price and offer a good service and backup should
you ever need it, also due to the amount of money you could be spending and
the distance you may be traveling we made sure each was a member of ABTA
and IATA giving you peace of mind and full security which some others
offering slightly cheaper fares may not offer.
We have
included Air france and KLM not because they have constant low fares which
they don't but because they offer some good deals from time to time so are
worth checking out.
Now don't
forget that travel insurance.

Note the
price difference between flying from London and your local airport some
airlines offer a FREE connecting flight or a set price ticket to London
from regional airports.
Check the
child fare between airlines, you could pay more for an adult ticket with
one airline, but the child fare could save you money.
Join the
airlines membership scheme for those free air miles and upgrades and little
extra goodies.
When
flying to America, pick your airline and route carefully, It's
easy to visit 2 or even 3 cities at little or no extra cost.
It can
often cost the same fare to fly to Honolulu and LA or Miami and LA.
Book a
flight to Honolulu with a change of flight at JFK and LA outbound and San
Francisco inbound and you can take a few days at each.
Book a flight to LA with a
changeover outbound say at New York and inbound at Miami and
you have a three center break for the cost of a direct flight.
New York
has the best fares on the East Coast and LA on the West Coast due mainly
to the large numbers of airlines flying into both Jetblue also fly out of
JFK with low fares across the US some Southwest flights also operate with
ATA out of New York.
On the
west coast Southwest connect to most of the USA.
A number of airlines now offer
the new 777 on trans Atlantic flights from the UK with very generous space in
coach a lot better than the old 747.

Can you
save money by flying
from your local airport to Amsterdam/Paris or Dublin then onwards.
Do you get any advantages from
being a member of the airlines frequent flyer program, like your own meals
or guaranteed window seat, air miles or up-grades?
Think about a cheap flight to
a major hub in the United States such as, Atlanta - Charlotte - Cincinnati
- Detroit - Houston - Miami - New York - Pittsburgh - St Louis, then use
the local discount airlines such as:
JetBlue
- Southwest - Air
Tran.
Air
travel isn't that easy now though.
Can
you get an affordable seat ?
What
is the time you need to be at the airport before your flight ?
How
many check-ins does your airline have?
How
many carry-on's can you take ?
How
long does security take ?
